The following are significant events involving the airline or its subsidiares. The numbered events are those involving at least one airline passenger death where the aircraft flight had a direct or indirect role, and where at least one of the dead passengers was not a stowaway, hijacker, or saboteur. Transbrasil ceased operations in 2001

  1. 22 January 1976; Transbrasil Embraer Bandeirante; Chapeco, Brazil: This aircraft crashed during takeoff. Both crew members and five of the six passengers were killed.

  2. 12 April 1980; Transbrasil 727-200; Florianopolis, Brazil : The aircraft hit high ground during thunderstorm during approach. All eight crew members and 47 of the 50 passengers were killed.
